Cross Country trains have announced that following talks with union reps the planned strike for over Christmas looks set to be called off.
The company connects the Midlands with cities as far away as Penzance and Aberdeen and many towns and cities in between.
The final confirmation will come from RMTs executive committee. Cross Country's MD Andy Cooper said:
"Following the talks today we have reached an agreement with the RMT regional officer regarding the issues they raised."
