Teachers at a secondary school in Derby have begun two days of strike action over plans by the Government to turn it into an academy. The Education Secretary took the unusual step of ordering a takeover of Sinfin Community School because of concerns about standards.
The Government has installed its own board which is now consulting about becoming an academy. The move has angered not only teaching unions but the city council who are now taking legal action. Our Education Correspondent Peter Bearne reports.
