Flats planning permission denied over threat to pub

ITV Central understands that a planning committee have today turned down an application to build flats next to the iconic Hare and Hounds pub in Kings Heath. There was concern that if these plans had got through, the Hare and Hounds would have been under threat due to its late night music licence.

If that had been removed due to its proximity to the flats, its owners said it would struggle to survive. However, the planning committee refused the application at a meeting today.
