Stoke City director John Rudge will leave the football club at the end of the season after being told that his contract will not be renewed.

The 68-year-old has worked at the club since 1999, after losing his job as manager at rivals Port Vale FC.

He said, "The last 13 years at Stoke City has been an incredible experience - especially the last five years in the Premier League and the team playing in the FA Cup final."

His contract will end on 30th June 2013 and is currently unsure where he will go next.
