A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman at her home in Maplebeck.
Julia Thurgaland, aged 70, was found dead at Low Farm at around 3.50pm yesterday.
A post-mortem examination concluded she was strangled.
The arrested man, aged 71, had been found injured at the scene with Mrs Thurgaland and taken to Lincoln Hospital.
He remains there in a serious but stable condition and has yet to be interviewed by detectives.
