Second arrest made following discover of body found in a Birmingham alleyway
Police investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a Birmingham alleyway on Saturday have arrested a second man on suspicion of murder.
The 25-year-old was picked up by officers in Erdington at around 12:40pm yesterday. He's currently receiving treatment in hospital but is expected to be question by detectives later today.
It follows the arrest of a 21-year-old man within hours of the victim being found near Knights Grove.
A post-mortem examination revealed the 22-year-old victim died from a severe head injury.
Last night, detectives secured a custody extension against the 21-year-old which allows them to continue holding him until 6am on New Year’s Day.
