Two police officers injured after car overturns

Two police officers have been taken to hospital after their patrol car overturned as they responded to a 999 call.

West Midlands Police said the female officers escaped serious injuries following the accident in Wolverhampton city centre at around 9:20pm last night.

The car overturned near the junction of Snow Hill and Ring Road St George's after colliding with a Fiat Punto.

We have already spoken to a couple of witnesses and are currently identifying CCTV cameras which may have captured the incident, but we are still keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and either witnessed the crash or saw the vehicles just before.
