Appeal following attempted sexual assaults

Police are appealing for information in their search for a man who attempted to sexually assault three women in two separate incidents.

Two women were walking along Woodborough Road, Mapperley, Nottingham on New Year's Day when they were approached from behind by a man who tried to grope them.

The women turned round and confronted the suspect who ran off while the victims raised the alarm.

It happened around 5:30am near the junction with Cranmer Street.

Detectives are linking the report to an incident which happened in Manor Street, Sneinton, at around 10:20pm on Saturday 29th December.

None of the women were injured in both incidents but were left shaken.

The man is described as black, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 9ins tall, and aged between 25 and 35. He is also said to have a distinctive nose.
