Today is Christmas day for the Serbian Orthadox Church. Derby, like many Midlands cities, has a significant Serbian Orthadox community and families in the city bought their church from the Church of England for £8,500 in 1972.
For the last 12 months they have been restoring the inside of the building after many years of fundraising. Today they will be holding a Christmas service and celebrating the end of the restoration work.

Windy with outbreaks of showery rain, heavy at times across the region.
Warwickshire Police say Bethany Marie Hill, who was 20, was found with wounds to her neck at a house on Hertford Road on Wednesday evening.
