Woman attacked in Wolverhampton

A woman was repeatedly punched in the head as thieves snatched her handbag in a violent robbery in Wolverhampton.The victim, a 44-year-old woman, was walking along Spring Hill Road, Wednesfield at around 7:45pm on Saturday evening (5 January) when she was approached by two men on a moped.

The victim had to go to hospital following the robbery, but thankfully was not seriously hurt and was discharged later in the evening. However she has clearly been left extremely shaken by what happened.

Police are currently looking at CCTV of the area and have stepped up local patrols.

The offenders are both described as white men in their 20s, wearing motorcycle helmets. One of the men was of slim build and wore a white-ish coloured crash helmet.
