Major rail upgrades full report: East Midlands
Network Rail has announced major plans to upgrade the network across the East Midlands. From 2014 millions of pounds are to be spent on rail infrastructure including electrification of the Midland Main Line between London and Derbyshire.
The aim is to improve the reliability and frequency of the trains. But some commuters are worried they'll end up footing the bill.
