The Met Office has issued an Amber Alert for snow in The Midlands on Friday. As a band of rain hits cold air across our region it will turn to snow. It is possible we could see 10-15cm widely and 25cm on higher ground. The wind will also increase causing blizzard conditions.

We are monitoring the timing of the snow but it currently looks like it will hit the West Midlands from mid-morning and the East Midlands from lunchtime. Please keep tuned to our forecasts for the latest information.
