A pensioner who was robbed 16 days ago has died in hospital.
Carole Mudie, 68, from Hawkesley in Birmingham, was taken to hospital after the incident and underwent surgery for a broken hip after being pushing into a bush.
The robber snatched Mrs Mudie's handbag as she walked to her front door at around 11:10pm on January 6.
The 68-year old later died in hospital and a manslaughter investigation was immediately launched.
A post-mortem examination was inconclusive and officers are awaiting further test results to confirm the exact cause of death.
The incident happened on Hawkmoor Gardens, Hawkesley, south Birmingham.
"A man is currently in custody on remand having been charged with separate matters and has been spoken to in relation to this offence.
"But what we desperately need is for anyone who witnessed the robbery of Carole Mudie to come forward."
