A ruling involving a teacher from Stoke-on-Trent means families who have their holidays ruined by long flight delays can finally claim compensation.
Jeff Halsall, 58, won a payout of £680 from Thomas Cook after he and his wife were made to wait 22 hours for a flight. Experts believe the decision could cost airlines millions of pounds but Mr. Halsall hopes it does not come to that.
