School leavers with severe learning disabilities and a passion for dancing are preparing to wow audiences tonight with a special performance.

They're celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Freefall Dance Company, which is run by former dancers from the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Fox Hollies Performing Arts College in Mosley.

The company says dancing raises their confidence and improves their self-esteem.

Lee Fisher, from the Birmingham Royal Ballet said: "They get all the benefits that anybody would get from dance, physical well being, but also an opportunity to be creative, an opportunity to be part of a community and to be able to male independent choices about what they want to perform."
