More tourism already being seen in Leicester

A hotelier based in Leicester has already seen an increase in tourism, following the possible finding of Richard III last year.

The remains – confirmed as those belonging to the last medieval king yesterday, have drawn even more interest in the area.

Henrik Jespersen, hotelier and Current Chairman of the Leicestershire Association of Tourism, Conference and Hotels (LATCH), says the discovery will have a huge affect on leisure.

Judicial review for Richard III's final resting place

A group of relatives of King Richard III, whose body was unearthed from a council car park last year, have won the right to bring High Court proceedings to challenge a plan to rebury his remains in Leicester.
