Police have cordoned off an area of Darlaston after a hand grenade was found.
Officers found the device at around 8:15 this morning. They have closed Addenbrooke Street and Addenbrooke Place as well as Rough Hay Road at the junctions with Willenhall Street and The Green.
It was found by officers making enquiries about a different matter.
A shelter for evacuated residents has been set up at Bentley Leisure Pavilion.
