Murder investigation launched after 70-year-old's death
A murder investigation has been launched in Nottingham after a pensioner died of an aneurism following an assault at his home.
The attack happened in Kirkby-in-Ashfield at around 9pm on Sunday night.
The 70-year-old victim, who has not yet been named, collapsed and later died in hospital.
Nottinghamshire Police have said that a post-mortem has proved inconclusive as to the cause of his death but it did show that the man sustained an aneurism caused by the assault.
Officers are looking for a man seen in the area at the time, who is described as white and of medium to heavy build. He was wearing dark clothing with a black hat or hood and a sleeveless, yellow high-visibility jacket.
