A 26-year-old man has been charged after a pensioner was killed when she was hit by a car in Yardley at the weekend.
He is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning to hear allegations he knocked down the 80-year-old woman in Coventry Road on Saturday.
The man was arrested after attending a police station in Birmingham and is charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
