Rise in the number of 'puppy parents'

A charity in Leicestershire that trains dogs to help disabled people says lots of people have expressed an interest in becoming Puppy Parents since we went to see them before Christmas.

The Canine Partners charity pairs puppies with people who will socialise them before they are ready for advanced training. Once a dog is trained they are paired with a disabled person to help them with everyday tasks.

The charity says it has had dozens of inquiries and has taken several new volunteers on board.
