A yellow 'Be Aware' warning for snow over the Peak District has been issued by the Met Office.

It kicks in late Saturday morning and is in force until 9pm tomorrow.

Tonight, the heaviest rain contines to affect the E and NE of the Central region. Elsewhere it will be lighter and more showery in nature. Fairly mild at 4 or 5c. Quite misty too but not as bad as last night.

During the early hours, the rain which has been travelling northwards today starts to pivot and return SW'wards, turning increasingly wintry tomorrow morning with 5-10cm snow due over parts of the Peak District.

A covering at lower levels but it should all clear by tomorrow night.

Having said that, with temps on the slide tomorrow afternoon we need to beware of icy stretches Saturday night.
