He has twice asked for the data on children’s heart surgery to be released so that he can conduct a full analysis into which units have the best outcomes, which is why I raised the issue directly with the Health Secretary.
Jeremy Hunt claims he wants a climate of openness and transparency in the NHS. Yet he has refused to ensure the data on children’s heart surgery is released to Professor Jarman.
