ASDA have announced its stores across Birmingham and the Black Country will collect money in memory of murdered Halesowen schoolgirl Christina Edkins.
The money will be given to the family do cover the costs of the funeral but also for things like a bench, plague [sic] or whatever the family sees fit for her memory. Other funds like this have created anti-knife campaigns and movements in schools around the country.
A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a "bright and popular" teenager on a bus as she travelled to school.
