Seventy-six-year-old woman punched in the face in West Bromwich

Police are appealing for information to find a man who punched a 76-year-old woman in the face and repeatedly kicked her car in an unprovoked attack.

The assault happened as she parked outside West Bromwich Albion Supporters' Club in Westbourne Road at around 8:10pm on March 5.

He is described as white, around 6ft tall, early twenties, slim build with brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans, white trainers and a grey hooded sweatshirt. He was also carrying a grey bucket with a silver handle and lid.

This was a very disturbing and unprovoked attack against an elderly woman who was innocently parking her car.

He caused damage to almost every panel of her car, and as well as suffering the injuries to her face, the victim has been left very shaken up by what happened.

The attacker was carrying a distinctive bucket during the assault and someone may remember seeing him in the area last Tuesday.
