The administrators of Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust have been granted more time to prepare a report into how the trust should be run. The trust runs Stafford Hospital, where hundreds of patients died needlessly between 2005 and 2009.

NHS boss speaks to reporters but doesn't answer questions

The Chief Executive of the NHS has refused to answer questions about his future, after he was criticised for his role in the Mid Staffordshire hospital deaths scandal.

Sir David Nicholson was giving a speech about the future of the NHS at a healthcare event in London. Afterwards he spoke to reporters, but would not answer their questions.
