NHS boss under more pressure to resign, report

There is growing pressure on the Chief Executive of the NHS Sir David Nicholson to resign in the wake of the Stafford hospital scandal and his recent appointment of a deputy, who allegedly gagged a whistleblower at the United Lincolnshire HospitalsTrust.

Sir David insists he is the man to lead a culture change and put patients needs first, but campaigners in the Midlands and in Westminster are calling for him to go.
