People from the business community in the midlands are hoping to raise tens of thousands of pounds tonight for charity.
Hundreds of people are due to pack into the O2 Academy at Leicester University to watch members of the business community sing and perform as they attempt to be crowned Leicestershire Y Factor 2013.
The event will be hosted by local sports legends Paul Nixon from Leicestershire Cricket Club and Leicester Tiger’s George Chuter.
Twelve acts will be critiqued by X Factor’s Andy Abraham and Lord Digby Jones with members of the audience being able to vote for their favourite performers.
Organisers hope to raise about £30,000 which will be divided between Mencap and the Lord’s Taverners, the UK’s leading disability sports charity.
The Y Factor is in its sixth year.
