Rolls-Royce has today congratulated Airbus on the delivery of its 100th A380 aircraft.
The landmark plane, delivered to Malaysia Airlines, is powered by the firm's Trent 900 engines.
Malaysia Airlines’ first A380 entered into service in July 2012 and the airline has ordered six A380 aircraft in total – all with Trent 900 engines.
The Rolls-Royce engine powered the A380 into service for the first time with in 2007, and is currently in service with six global travel providers.
Rolls-Royce has a plant in Ansty, Warwickshire, where it employs around 800 people.
The Airbus A380 is considered the worlds largest aircraft.
