A father accused of killing his six children in a house fire has told a court there was no plan to rescue them and be a hero.

Mick Philpott, along with his wife Mairead and their friend Paul Mosley, are charged with manslaughter after a blaze swept through the Philpott's family home in Derby last May.

Philpott children remembered

A minute's silence will take place ahead of Derby County's match with Ipswich in memory of the Philpott children who died in a house fire on Victory Road in the city last year.
