A coroner has recorded a verdict of accidental death in the case of a teacher from Nottingham who died while on a school ski trip in Austria. Jonathan Taylor, 44, fell 10ft down an unlit bank.

Neighbours: 'It was a tragedy that shouldn't have happened'

The neighbours of a Nottingham teacher who was killed after falling on a school skiing trip in Austria have say it was a "tragedy that shouldn't have happened".

June and Bill Bailey from Arnold heard of the death of Jonathan Taylor from his mother-in-law.

June said the 44-year-old teacher was "such a nice guy" and described he and his pregnant wife as "a lovely couple".
