Benefit changes concerns

We're in the middle of big changes to the benefits' system and on Monday a trial will begin, phasing out the Disability Living Allowance and replacing it with a Personal Independence Payment.

What does the Government say?

The Department for Work and Pensions says,

Personal Independence Payment is designed to help disabled people live more independently and support those with the greatest need. The new benefit is to help people meet the extra costs that come from having a long-term health condition or disability.
