Coventry City withdraws points deduction appeal

Whilst it was agreed to commence the appeal process with regard to the 10 point deduction by the Football League, following legal advice, the decision has now been made to withdraw the appeal to avoid further delay and costs to all parties.

Coventry City Football Club had submitted an appeal to the Football League to have the ten points deducted at the end of March reinstated.

The club had the points deducted after it went into administration.

Coventry City has decided to withdraw its appeal against a 10-point deduction by the Football League after a High Court ruling put the club into administration. This is the latest in an ongoing dispute over £1.3m in rent payments.
