Huge turn out at the Leicester Regatta

The Leicester Rowing Club has today held its annual Regatta on the Grand Union Canal in the city centre, proving to be its biggest yet

The 700m races began at 9am this morning, and saw many people taking part from across the UK. Heats included juniors, men, women, mixed, novice and elite.

The Captain of the Leicester Rowing Club, Rob Fox, says it's the biggest Regatta yet, thanks to the exposure it received during the London Olympic Games.
