People using Birmingham New Street Station this week can find out more about the multi-million pound revamp of the train station. An exhibition explaining the stages of the building work is on display.

Video fly-through of finished New Street Station

This is a computer generated video showing what Birmingham New Street will look like when its redevelopment is complete.

This weekend the old entrances and concourse, which was built in the 1960s, will be closed, and the first half of the revamped station opened to the public.

The work being done by Network Rail includes the refurbishment of 12 platforms and a new open atrium space, which is due to be finished in 2015.
