The driver of a people carrier captured on camera in Small Heath around the time 75-year-old Mohammed Saleem was murdered on Monday has been identified.
The man was spoken to by officers on 2 May, whilst his passenger will meet police later today. Both are regarded as witnesses.
Police are now focusing their efforts on identifying the man captured on camera running along Wyndcliffe Road near to where Mr Saleem was brutally murdered in Little Green Lane.Officers will be attending the mosque where Mr Saleem worshipped and handing out images of the man captured in the CCTV.
The police appeal has also been added to the host of tribute sites which have been created since the well respected and much loved father and grandfather was killed.
