Councillor Waseem Zaffar: Mohammed Saleem was a 'role model'

Councillor Waseem Zaffar has told ITV News Central the grandfather who was stabbed to death in Small Heath on Monday 29th April was a 'positive role model'.

Mohammed Saleem was an upstanding member of this community. He was somebody who gave so much to this community. He was involved in many activities in and outside the local mosque. He was somebody who young people looked up to as a positive role model.

Small Heath pensioner murder

The funeral of 75-year-old Mohammed Saleem who was attacked as he walked home from evening prayers in Small Heath on Monday 29th April is taking place. A £10,000 reward for information about his murder is still being offered.
