Laura Mvula, who grew up in Birmingham, is performing at several festivals this summer. As well as three slots at Glastonbury, including the main stage, she is also performing at V Festival and Latitude Festival.
The singer graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire with a degree in composition and began writing songs while she was working as a supply teacher in the city.
She will be performing at Birmingham Glee Club today.
