Thursday was an unusually windy day for May. Even once the rain passes there won't be much of a clearance with lingering cloud and a few showers which is how the overnight period will look. Temperatures down to 8-9C on the whole. The cloud and wind stopping things getting too chilly.
Friday starts generally cloudy with a weak band of rain crossing the region. In to the afternoon the weather should brighten a touch but there will be quite a few showers around. Highs of 15-16C which is pretty decent but it will feel fresh in the breeze and cool in the showers.
Rain and showers are never far away over the weekend. Bright and showery on Saturday, cloudy but hopefully a touch drier on Sunday with more rain in the wings for Monday. It will be rather cool feeling and next week is set to turn chillier still with winds turning to a northerly direction.
Becoming dry and clear tonight, sunny spells tomorrow.
Fine and mostly dry, with sunny spells and isolated showers.
Mainly dry with some sunny spells. Feeling warmer.
