Solihull Councillor: 'bedroom tax needs flexibility'

A Labour councillor in the town where Stephanie Bottrill killed herself has described her death as an 'appalling' tragedy.

David Jamieson is calling on the Government to allow some flexibility for those who may be struggling because of the tax.

'Bedroom tax' suicide

The family of a woman from Solihull who blamed the Government for her death in a suicide note said she was struggling to cope with paying the so-called bedroom tax, the Sunday People has reported.
