Police investigating the death of a man in Shrewsbury on Saturday night have identified him.
An investigation was launched when emergency services were called to the Reabrook Avenue area of the town after a 64-year-old local man – named as Mr Robert Barlowe – was found with serious injuries.
Mr Barlowe was given emergency medical treatment at the scene but was later pronounced dead by paramedics.
An area on Reabrook Avenue and near the cashpoint close to the CineWorld Cinema was sealed off while police looked into the incident.
