A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a two-car collision on the M6 which left an 11-day-old baby in a critical condition in hospital.
The man, 30, was held after the accident on the southbound M6 near Cannnock, Staffordshire, on Sunday afternoon which closed part of the motorway for a few hours.
The baby was transported to hospital with two other siblings, aged one and four, and the children's mother.
The mother and two of the children have since been released from hospital but the baby is still in a critical condition with serious injuries, West Midlands Police said.
A man and a woman from a second car involved in the crash were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure but later discharged.
