Detectives investigating the murder of 82-year-old Mohammed Saleem say they are following up information from a number of calls after an appeal was shown on the BBC's Crimewatch programme last night.
Officers are currently assessing the information from calls from members of the public that came in after the programme reconstructed the last movements and attack on Mr Saleem just before 10.25pm on Monday 29 April in Little Green Lane, Small Heath.
