Rolls-Royce engine powered plane on maiden voyage

A new aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce engines built in Derby has embarked on its maiden flight. Airbus says the aircraft is designed to be more fuel-efficient and is more environmentally friendly.

The firm has already won orders for more than 600 of the aircraft, which has helped the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB become the firm's fastest selling engine. Daniel Hewitt reports.
