Baby chute mother found guilty of GBH

Jaymin Abdulrahman has been found guilty of inflicting GBH, after police found a six-day old girl among rubbish at a block of flats in Wolverhampton.

Abdulrahman was cleared of attempted murder.

It was a unanimous verdict by the jury.

Jaymin Abdulrahman has been jailed for 30 months, after being found guilty at Birmingham Crown Court of inflicting grievous bodily harm but cleared of attempted murder after throwing her newborn daughter more than 40ft down a rubbish chute.
