Education officials in Nottinghamshire are seeking to take over the running of a village primary school which suspended its headteacher after a special investigation by ITV Central.
It follows an inspection last month by the watchdog Ofsted, which put Burton Joyce Primary School into "special measures".
Governors at Burton Joyce Primary School suspended the headteacher Margaret Gretton last November.
The decision came 24 hours after ITV News Central broadcast a report highlighting serious allegations about the running of the school.
