Leicestershire tennis ace named Confederation Player of the Year

As Andy Murray battles it out in the semi final at Wimbledon, one budding young tennis player from Leicestershire is making a name for himself in America.

Twenty-year-old Connor Glennon from Rothley, Leicestershire, has been named Confederation Player of the year. He was awarded a tennis scholarship at Memphis Tennessee University and hopes to become a professional player on the international circuit.

20-year-old Connor Glennon left his home village in Leicestershire last year to take up a tennis scholarship at the University of Tennessee where he studies tennis and business.
