British Basketball League Cup champions Leicester Riders could find themselves in a new £2.5 million stadium in time for next season, which is planned at Leicestershire County Cricket club's Grace Road Stadium. But the plans have angered residents.

Cricket club boss reassures locals over arena plans

Mike Siddall, Chief Executive of Leicestershire County Cricket Club, has today reassured residents work is being done to mitigate the potential impact of building a new 2000 seater arena for the Leicester Riders basketball team at Grace Road.

Although the plans are in their very early stages, strong local opposition is building from those living nearby, who say they're already plagued by parking problems on match days at the cricket ground.
