Nichole Samuels, Broad Street Marketing Manager said she was 'honoured' to hear that Birmingham born actor David Harewood would receive a star on the Broad Street Walk of Stars. She said:
Being a huge Homeland fan myself, I was honoured to hear that David would be the first to receive a star in 2013.
He is an asset to Birmingham and a great role model for young aspiring actors in the West Midlands. He will join the likes of Tony Iommi, Julie Walters, Lenny Henry and Beverley Knight.
