Tributes to Channel swimmer

The coach of Susan Taylor from Leicestershire, who died in a charity swim across the Channel, has said she was "always smiling". Susan got into difficulty whilst attempting the challenge in a bid to raise money for Rainbows Hospice and Diabetes UK.

Charity donations continue to rise for Channel swimmer who died

More than £50,000 has been raised for charity after a swimmer from Leicestershire died while trying to cross the English Channel.

34 year old Susan Taylor from Barwell ran into difficulties close to the French coast.

She had spent months raising money for Diabetes UK and Rainbows hospice for children, raising three thousand pounds before her death.
