Posters urge people to not urinate on the street

A poster campaign has been started in a town centre in Lincolnshire to try to stop people from urinating in the street.

The posters, displaying a "banned" symbol over the silhouette of a male figure urinating, includes a short message in English, Polish, Latvian, Russian and Portuguese and ask people to not urinate near the historic Wormgate area of Boston.

The poster campaign was launched after local councillors were asked by residents and business owners in Archers Lane for help to fight the problem.

Councillor Carol Taylor said: "We wanted the notice to be polite and be a request, not an order, in the hope that people would show a little more respect."
